Our Foxton Clubhouse Programme

Our Programme here at the Clubhouse is designed to support your tamariki ahes 5 -14 years old too meet all their before and after school needs while creating a fun and inclusive environment for all. We have three seperate programmes running, the before school, after school and school holiday programme. All fostering tamariki with their needs at the different stages of the day.

Our morning programme provides a relaxed environment where tamariki can come in and chill out before their exciting day at school. Whanau are welcome to bring in breakfast for tamariki whom like to eat a little later in the morning, while other tamariki are free to explore the resources available to them. Our friendly kaiako are always available to also support tamariki with their last pieces of homework they may need to finish before school that day. We all gather for school drop off ensuring all belongings are collected before leaving and walk together as walking bus, building the relationships and community of the tamariki.

The afternoon programme starts with our wonderful kaiako collecting tamariki from their school and together walking back to the Clubhouse as a walking bus. Older tamariki are encouraged to support younger tamariki by guiding them and making safe decisions while on their walk. Once back at the Clubhouse, tamariki will put their belongings away and can gather for an afternoon snack before everyone sits down to complete any homework assignments that have been given. Kaiako are available to support all tamariki with their learning and using a variety of strategies allowing tamariki to learn problem solving skills. From here tamariki have the opportunity for free play, utilising the resources inside and out from playing ball sports, messy play, reading and constructing using a range of different mediums until their whanau collect them for the day.

The Clubhouse holiday programme is designed to support tamariki ages 5 to 14 years old to have a fun, exciting place to be while they are on break from kura (school). We provide a rich environment with a range of resources. Exploring the local community is an active part of our programme where we take excursions wither by walking or using our sister centre’s van to go further a field. Tamariki have a large part designing the programme where we ask for their input and what they would like to do with their time with us.
