Vania Bythell
HEAD KAIAKO
Kia ora, my name is Vania Bythell and I am the Head Teacher here at Foxton Preschool and Nursery. I moved to Foxton with my partner and two children a few years ago to be closer to our wider whānau, and have loved becoming a part of the local community. I have been teaching for over ten years and have had some amazing role models to learn from in that time. As the Head Teacher, I have the absolute privilege of leading an incredible team of passionate teachers who are deeply committed to creating an environment that reflects kindness and respect, and that uplifts the mana of all our tamariki.

Cushla
LEADER KIWI ROOM
Kia Ora, kō Cushla ahau. I am the room leader of the Kiwi room at Foxton Preschool and Nursery. I have been teaching at Foxton Preschool and Nursery for 5 years. Before starting here, I had been involved at Foxton Playcentre as a Mum and this is where my passion was sparked to become and ECE teacher. I have 3 beautiful tamariki and have lived locally my whole life. I have worked across the centre but have found my niche in the Kiwi room with the four-year-old tamariki. I love being a part of their last step to school and love watching their independence grow throughout the year. I am child lead focused but love to provide provocations to extend tamariki learning that focuses on their interests.

Amy
LEADER KEA ROOM
Kia ora my name is Amy and I'm the room leader in the Kea Room. I have been teaching for a long time after gaining my Bachelor of Teaching in 2015. I am Foxton born and bred, and am now raising my own little girl here with my husband. My passion for teaching stems from growing up in a big family with a lot of children around all the time. I really enjoy supporting the tamariki through their learning milestones and watching their confidence in themselves grow.
