![]() Jude GoodwinKia ora, I’m Jude — Head Teacher at Little Waves Paraparaumu.
I’m a fully qualified and certificated Early Childhood Teacher, and I graduated in 2013. Since then, I’ve worked at several centres across the Kāpiti Coast, including in two Head Teacher roles, and I feel fortunate to now be part of the Little Waves whānau.I live in Paraparaumu with my partner, and I have two married tamariki who are my absolute pride and joy. You might catch a little English accent when we kōrero — I moved to Aotearoa in 1970, so I’m a bit of a Kiwi-English blend! I’m passionate about creating a calm, nurturing, and joyful learning environment where our tamariki feel safe, confident, and valued for who they are. I believe in fostering strong whanaungatanga (relationships), practising manaaki (care and kindness), and supporting each child’s individual learning journey through ako (shared learning). I love mentoring and working alongside kaiako to design rich, engaging experiences that support learning and social and emotional growth.

![]() GeorginaMy name is Georgina. I live in Raumati South with my partner and my puppy Bear and kitten Bambi. I’m originally from down South - Timaru and then Invercargill but moved up this way for some better weather and to be closer to a bigger city. I absolutely love the Kapiti Coast and all it has to offer. My favourite things to do are taking my puppy for a walk down the beach each night, spending time with family, going to concerts and travelling when I can afford it. I have been teaching for 6 and a half years and believe in and support a calm environment for the under twos. I value respectful practices and empowering communication and fostering a sense of belonging for the tamariki and their Whānau. It is one of the best parts of the job when I see tamariki succeed at something they had doubted themselves with, and the immense pride they have when they master these skills.
